Recipe - Muah Chee

Muah Chee is a popular Chinese snack eaten throughout South East Asia. It is made of glutinous rice flour. There are many versions of it. In Singapore and Malaysia, it is often eaten with grounded peanut / peanut powder, sweetened with sugar. In Taiwan, Muah Chee tends to be more chewy than those in Singapore and Malaysia. In Japan, there is quite a similar snack known as "mochi" except that it often comes with fillings in different flavours.

Here's a simple recipe which can be made easily in 10 mins (including preparation time) using HappyCall Double sided pan.

Ingredients:
1 cup glutinous rice flour
3/4 cup water
Peanut powder (with sugar, if powder comes with no sugar, add sugar according to preference)

Instructions:
(1)Mix glutinous rice flour and water until it becomes a watery paste
(2)Coat pan with 1 tablespoon of oil
(3)Pour paste into pan, cook using low heat
(4) Wait for 3 minutes
(5) Use spoon to roll from side of paste, if it can be rolled up (into a lumpy paste), then it is cooked.
(6) Scoop up, cut the lump using scissors and mix with peanut powder.
(7) Enjoy your Muah Chee!
